"We wish to express our hearty thanks for the wonderful hospitality of Kay and Ken who warmly received us from the first moment we arrived, gave us directions and advice on our itineraries and said goodbye to us on the morning we left. The apartment is exceptionally spacious and the furniture and equipment are  all new and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped and stored with all necessary items. My wife and I particularly liked the french windows in the master bedroom, which can be fully opened up to enjoy the good view and also provide direct access to the swimming pool, which we enjoyed using very much. We also had a few fabulous walks along the beautiful gardens leading down to the river bank. It was just wonderful from start to finish. Ken and Kay are wonderful, kind, helpful hosts, they could not do enough for us.  They advised us where to go from Tomar with wonderful restaurants to Lisbon by train, to Fatima and a wonderful well worth visit to Obidos.  The apartment is very spacious and well equipped and exceptionally clean. Ken also took the children up the river in his canoe, which was the highlight of their holiday.  We highly recommend Caracara for a relaxing peaceful holiday and our deepest appreciation to you both for making it just that". "Thanks  for a fabulous week at Caracara. Sue & I really appreciated the time you spent helping us to sort out our itinerary. We would not have been able to pack so much into the week and get the right balance between relaxation, sight seeing and dining out without your advice.  The weather couldn’t have been better, in the 20's and sunny which made the golfing, fishing and canoeing experiences a real pleasure. We just loved Tomar and the surrounding area, so much to see and do and on the doorstep.  All the restaurant’s you recommended provided us with wonderful cuisine in delightful settings. The Caracara 5 star accommodation is the best we have stayed in on our travels and has everything you could possibly wish for.  Thanks for letting me bring my fishing tackle and trying my luck in the river. "Spent a lovely week at Caracara in July. The location is perfect for tranquil days sunbathing by the pool or river, and is also close to local train and road networks for exploring central portugal.   This accommodation is very spacious and excellently equipped.  Owners Ken and Kay were extremely helpful and have a wealth of knowledge on the local area and places of interest. Local town Tomar is beautiful, I would also recommend a visit to Obidos (by car) and Lisbon (by train).  Overall a wonderful holiday, great accommodation and we will definitely return".   Heather, Wigan, Lancs.
"Really enjoyed our week at Caracara. It really is very peaceful with a riverside setting in a quiet area. We have to say that the spacious accommodation was much more than we had expected or have experienced in the past. It is well located for visiting Lisbon, Tomar, and many other attractions. Obidos was particularly interesting. Ken and Kay were great hosts and made sure that we had all of the information we needed to get the most out of our holiday. "We spent a week over Easter 2010 at Caracara and very much enjoyed our stay. The location has lovely views over the river whilst the apartment itself is huge and is  equipped with everything that you will need  for a self catering holiday. It is an ideal location for relaxing or doing full on tourism, as we did. It is centrally located and allows for day trips to many areas of interest.  Originally from Australia we spend weeks of every year touring Europe and really enjoyed our stay.   Not only were the facilities great but the people were friendly and the food tasty. We were provided with plenty of tourism information and help in finding places. The stunning rural location gave us the peace and quiet we wanted, yet the nearby road and rail network gave easy access to Lisbon and numerous other interesting towns, villages and countryside.  The accommodation offered is spacious and very well equipped with everything you need.
